So Excited...

I have just finished taking a beginner's digital scrapping class by Jessica Sprague and couldn't wait to get signed up for the next course. The registration opened yesterday and I now have my place for Now We're Rockin'! Yay! I really can't wait for Monday to come and the course to start :) Jeannette: you asked me if I'd be going this class and the answer is ---> yes :)

I have learnt so much doing the first course and I'm really enjoying experimenting with digital scrapping. I will never, ever give up my love for paper scrapping, but it's nice to have an alternative too for those days when you just don't have the space or energy to get your paper supplies out.

I've been practising my digital scrapping and reviewing what I have learnt so far. This is a layout I did the other day:

Cupcakes...

First of all, for anyone who's cupcake mad - they have the cutest cupcake pyjamas and nighties in Primark at the moment! Knickers too! LOL!

Okay straight onto some questions:

Jeannette - you were asking about Jessica Sprague's "Up and Running" beginner's digital scrapping class. I totally love it and I would seriously recommend it to anyone. Of course if you have already done some digi scrapping, it's probably too basic for you. But for a beginner it's great :)

Kimberley - you asked about how I re size photos/items in Photoshop. I don't actually LOL! I do what I need to do in Photoshop Elements (editing my photos, making my digital layouts) and then I use something called Image Resizer for Windows. It's something I have been using for years now. Totally love it and so easy jut to right-click from Windows Explorer and use it that way :)

And before I go...I have been making some more cards. I just can't resist all the yummy kits at Sweet Shoppe Designs:

Drop Shadows, Drop Shadows...

It's tricky isn't it, getting the drop shadows right on digital layouts? I know I'm only a beginner when it comes to digital scrapping, but it's not easy...When is a little, too little? And when is a lot, too much? How much shadow to use for different elements... But I'm definitely learning and making progress so that makes me happy. :) And I got some great advice from some Lilypad friends on this layout.

[Supplies: "Vintage Papers" by Nancy Comelab, "Messy Taped Frames" by Amy Martin, "Messy Taped Words" by Amy Martin, "Fancy Reefs" by Jenna Desai, "Funky Waves" by Jenna Desai, "Beaded Fancies" by Amy Martin, "Sandy Alpha" by Amy Martin and "Summer Alpha Squares" by Natalie Braxton - all from the Lilypad June BYOC]

Wow that was a long supply list LOL! I hope I didn't forget anything/one. It's a great collab so it was really hard picking what to use :)

Making Memories...

I've been loving the Noteworthy line by Making Memories ever since it came out. The new additions to it are great. Especially the "Delaney" set. :) I got some of the items out yesterday and suddenly found myself struggling to scrap with them...

Maybe it was just one of those days. Surely it can't be hard scrapping with items you love? LOL! So I'm putting it down to "one of those days" :) Anyway, I ended up finishing a layout. Maybe not my absolute favourite layout that I have made. But considering that I really hated it when I was halfway through, it's pretty ok I guess.

[Supplies: Making Memories Delaney Noteworthy paper, glitter die-cuts, glitter clears and journaling pad, Doodlebug brads, Heidi Grace stamps and American Crafts Thickers alphabet]

Loooove the clear glitter die-cut! It's just soooo yummy and photos really don't do it justice at all.

Lilypad Fun...

It's Friday, which means new stuff in the Lilypad shop :) And not only that, but it's the first Friday of the month which means new mega BYOC (collab)! 26 new kits for the collab! Yum, yum!

I instantly fell for Kate's cute "Fancy Fishes", I knew I wanted to do something with them but I was a little stuck for ideas for a while...

Then I decided to see if I could make a fishbowl in PSE. Which I could. And then I had this mad idea of turning it into a fishbowl card, for....erm...hrm...people who like fishbowls?!? LOL! Anyway, I had fun making it which is what matters :)

I have also made a new digital layout using the Lilypad BYOC, but I'm not happy with my drop shadows so I will have to play around with that a bit more before I post on here.

Fun...

When we got the new camera we ordered a fun tripod. Wasn't too sure what it would be like - but it certainly seemed cool :) It arrived today and wow ---> not only does it seem to be a great tripod but you can also sit and play with it for hours LOL!

It's called a Joby Gorilla pod and we got the SLR version which should hold both the bigger and the smaller camera. I borrowed some images from Google:

Last week was the end of the on-line beginner's digital scrapping course that I took by Jessica Sprague. I really, really enjoyed it. This was our last midweek assignment. We learnt how to do the photo arrangement and then the rest of the layout was totally up to you to make and use the skills that you'd gained during the course.

Busy...

Oh I felt so bad for not blogging yesterday. :(

I had one of those days when everything was just mega, mega busy and my "to do" list was about 4-5 times what the hours of the day would allow. In the end, I really didn't have any energy left in the evening, yet I still felt so bad for not having done my daily blogging LOL!

So what's new? New camera. Loving ---> new camera! Just wish I'd had a bit more "play time" with it. But maybe that will come. Some day. One day. Soon I hope :)

I spent most of yesterday catching up on some hybrid and digital projects for the CTs. Will show here during the next week as and when I can :) This morning I have been doing some paper scrapping.
Yes you read correctly ---> PAPER scrapping. I know we are talking days since I last paper scrapped but it literally felt like months and months LOL! The two hybrid/digital Creative Teams are keeping me busy, and so is the fact that I'm practicing my digital scrapping when I can, logging/tagging more kits in ACDSee every day etc...but it so made me smile playing with paper again today :)

New Camera Fun...

Found a mega bargain "deal of the day" on a new camera on Friday. Ordered it after seven in the evening and had it at 10 on Saturday morning. Yay! I love new gadgets :) Since it was such a nice day on Saturday (which is more than what you can say for yesterday or today!) we took it straight out. We went to this park called Dunham Massey near Altrincham, which proved to be a really nice place for some walking. And photo taking of course :) We came back home having tested the camera 158 times LOL!

Since The May Weather...

...have left a little bit to be desired (to say the least!) I thought it could almost be appropriate to show this snow (okay so we haven't had snow this week....but definitely "autumn like" weather some days) layout which I made as part of my DT work for Make The Moment Last...

[Supplies: Basic Grey papers and die-cuts, Autumn Leaves stamps, American Crafts Thickers alphabets, and lots of buttons + thread]
