"You're So Tweet" Layout Class...

Supplies needed:
Fancy Pants – Splendid – Valentine’s Cards
Fancy Pants – Splendid - Desire
Fancy Pants – Splendid – Lovey Dovey
Fancy Pants – Splendid - Sophisticated
Basic Grey Wholy Cow Rub-ons – Heartswash White
Jewels in pale blue and aqua (I used Kaiser)
StazOn inkpad Teal Blue
Kaiser stamps: Memory Boxes
2 strands of red embroidery thread
Scalloped border punch
White pen (I find Uni-Ball Signo to be the best)

Also needed:
Scraps of white cardstock
Glue (I use Herma removable)
Black journaling pen (Zig Millennium)
Charcoal Chalk Inkpad (optional)
Cuttlebug + “Swiss Dots” embossing folder (optional)

Start by cutting your “Desire” paper to size. I scrap in true A4 size, so I cut mine to 29,7x21 centimetres (cm). Please feel free to adapt to another layout size if you prefer. 8.5x11 or 12x12 would work great for this too. We will be using the black side of this paper.

Pick your photo. I’m using a 15x10 cm (6x4) portrait photo.

Cut a heart strip from “Lovey Dovey” and a 4 cm wide strip from “Sophisticated” (emboss this with the “Swiss Dots” Cuttlebug embossing folder if you wish) and finally use the scalloped border punch along a length of scrap white cardstock.

Assemble the photo and the strips of card/paper on the layout:

Add some white Basic Grey rub-ons along the left and top side of your photo.

Using the Teal Blue ink, stamp a journaling stamp onto scrap white cardstock, journal and cut out. Also cut out the birds and the speech bubble from the “Valentine’s Cards” paper (do not bother with the bird legs, we will draw these by hand). Attach to the layout as in the photo below and use a white pen to draw the legs of the birds.

Pierce two holes at either side of the scalloped edge near the top of the layout (see holes, marked with purple, in photo below). Take your red embroidery thread and sew through a few times. Tie the ends into a bow.

Finish off by alternating pale blue and aqua jewels down the scalloped edge.

I hope you enjoyed my class! Wishing you lots of fun creating your own version!
