But having you tried searching for buttons on the internet? It's not so easy to find what you want as it turns up lots and lots of other types of buttons (like graphics for buttons to use on websites etc). Do you know of a good button site with big packs of buttons? If so, please, please share with me in the comment section - thank you :)
In the meantime I had to turn to the Autumn Leaves packs of buttons which are at least reasonably big. Yay!! Got some nice ones from PaperMaze:

I live in the states, and I always buy my buttons at WalMart. They have a fairly big pack for only .88 . I don't know if you have such a store over there? Also, thrift stores are great places to find older, cool buttons. Hope I helped!
I've bought 1 pound bags of buttons (approx 800 buttons) from Oriental Trading Company, but they only ship to the US and Canada.
I've never ordered from this place, but S&S WorldWide has some assorted, large packages of buttons for cheap. Also, if when you search online, you search for "Craft Buttons" you get much better results (or at least I seemed to). And S&S WorldWide had ready-to-finish wood buttons, which means you can paint them!

Woohoo !!! Buttonssss......Besides my stamps, I love buttons too,unusual or old world buttons. I buy my bags of buttons from Big W, Spotlight (I got bag the other day called 'shabby chic' ), or op. shops. I don't use the tiny buttons so much & u r left with heaps when u buy a pkt or bag, but will utilise them soon - have been gathering ideas to use them--as photo corners, to make arrows, as strips on ribbon, use on flowers,on tags, as frames (sq or circle) round photos, mats, or verses, as flower stems,as border down side of mat (alternate with flowers & hearts).
Alternate round semi circle mat with small prima flowers & few flower buttons & lots of diff. color small buttons.
Alternate small buttons & photo corners (like arrows) around photo in semi circle, start at top of photo, go out & down one side & finish under bottom end of photo.Doodle between if like.
To make a felt flower - take a circle of felt, with embroidery thread & just in from edge, stitch long stitch, slightly gather so edge puckers up, place a small diff. color button (with thread in center) in center of flower. Put on page (do several in diff. colors) use lace ribbon strips as stems.
