Easter cards & envelope problems...

Well I managed to get my had-to-do-boring-things done yesterday afternoon and had time to sit down and make some Easter cards. These are based on a card I saw in the latest issue of Papercraft Inspirations. I started off drawing my own bunny template (based on the card in the magazine), a template for his paws, inner ear and also an egg. Then it was time to have some fun...

I went though my cardstock scraps (kept in a 12x12 ziplock bag) and found some nice and bright Easter colours. Together with some pens and patterned scissors I managed to create some (what I hope is...?) rather cute Easter cards. :)

Yet again I found myself in the same position I have been in every time for the last year when I have made birthday cards etc. My cards are done and the next thought is ---> envelopes! Panic! I never have any (apart from boring "standard office ones"). Usually I can get around it by just packing the card together with the present. But for Easter...of course I needed some envelopes that fit my non-standard-size cards. I ended up trying to make some out of cardstock. Not so pretty, but they wil do the job. Anyway, I decided this time I HAD to do something about the ongoing envelope problem...

I have seen these envelope-making-boards in the past and thought of those straight away. I tried to find some reviews/opinions of them on the internet but wasn't having much luck. So in the end I just decided to order (!) one. I hope it was the right decision. If you have one, I'd love to hear what you think of it please...?

  1. I caved last year and bought an envelope template thingy too, was great as it gets you into the correct way of thinking when making them. You think you know what to do and then you try and fail LOL! I don't regret buying mine at all. I do love your bunny cards, very cute!

  2. Been a few days since I peeked at your blog, and I have a question: who makes your stamp Art doesn't have to be perfect? I love how you use it on the back of your minibooks, and think perhaps I need such a disclaimer myself! Thanks.
