...that was the subject for Friday's prompt of the "Home" class that I'm taking. Making a minibook featuring photos of your home town. Not the easiest to get photos with me being in a different country (!) to my home town, but some old photos together with my friend Google solved that pretty well :)
But I wasn't going to make it that easy for myself now was I? Instead I had this "great" idea of double-challenging myself. Silly girl!! LOL! So not only did I have the minibook prompt to guide me but I also decided that it was a great (?!) idea to challenge myself into NOT cutting into a single sheet of new paper or cardstock. All I could use was my scraps.
I wanted to see what I could make using only minimum supplies. So I created a book using only paper and card scraps, stamps and 4 alphabet stickers! And I kinda surprised myself with what you can actually achieve with such limited supplies - which was great :) Try it - it makes you feel great :)
The last picture shows a few sample pages from the book. It has 20 pages/photos inside and I just couldn't be bothered to take photos of them all - sorry. LOL!
Looks lovely and bright
ReplyDeleteCool idea - beautifully made. I was also thinking about preparing an album using only scraps (and have written a blog post about it). It is so great - it's faster, as you don't need to cut everything and it's very economical, good value for the dollar (as most of my supplies were purchased in the US :) ).
ReplyDeleteI'm also living away from my hometown. I'm thinking about making a mini album, juxtaposing my hometown to my current home in Dublin.
Great mini book!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I also love the idea of using scrap paper; I don't have too much of it but I do have a few mini stacks that I could use :)
Thanks for the idea!!
ilovely book really well made
ReplyDeleteLovely book! and the stamp on the back is just adorable. Where is it from?
ReplyDeleteAnother great project. By chance did you use the Bind-it-All to put your book together?
